Welcome to the SWFL Market Update – January 2025. A lot happened in 2024, but we’re starting fresh. Mary Bartos of The Bartos Group at Premiere Plus Realty joins Cheryl Stokes from New American Funding to break down the current market and what buyers and sellers can expect in 2025.
The SWFL Market Update shows that inventory is rising. Right now, there are 8.3 months of homes available. This means buyers have more choices, especially those planning to relocate or upgrade. Prices have adjusted in some areas, but this doesn’t always mean values are falling. It often just takes longer for homes to sell.
Interest rates still play a big role. Many buyers wait for rates to drop, but that might not be the best move. Today’s buyers are picky. While there are fewer showings per home, good listings still sell fast.
This SWFL Market Update suggests the region is shifting toward a buyer’s market. It’s a great time to make a move before things change again.
